So...we will arrive in Saigon at 11:55pm on Friday December 27th (we have taken this flight pretty much every time...and surprisingly the airport is PACKED). However, the taxi situation is a disaster. Essentially, there are two taxi cabs you can take (the other ones can be bad news..mostly trying to rip you off). However, it can be a hassle trying to get them late at night. Everyone else will be trying to get you into their cab, and last year, I waited about 30 minutes (not exactly knowing if the cab I wanted was coming). The cab did end up coming, but it was kind of stressful and the last thing you want to worry about after 30 hours of traveling. So..this year...we are splurging and having the hotel pick us up! We tried this two years ago...however, we got delayed - missed our connecting flights and didn't end up showing up until the next day. There was a huge communication error and I guess the hotel went to pick us up, waiting and waiting and waiting and we never showed up. Hopefully this year will be better :)
